Coronavirus brings us stressful time. We know our brides to be may need special supports during this period of time, so we put together some ideas for them. It could be useful for anyone who is helping out in the weddings too.
Keep workout and Stretching
Doing exercise helps boosting mood, self-esteem, increase energy levels, improve sleep, reduce the risk of illness, keep you fit and strong. And you still want to fit into the dress, right? You just need to do 30 mins of exercise 3 times a week. Use apps, online videos, guides to help you. You may want to find mates, perhaps bridesmaids and/ or maid of honor who can motivate you to workout together. See it a time to relax, listen to music, podcast while doing exercise.
Keep healthy diet
Having healthy diet would boost your immune system. Is it 3 full meals or 5 small dishes would keep you going? Here are a few things to keep in mind:
1. Hydrate: 2 litres of water a day, consider adding half a lemon to your water.
2. Purchase: plan what you need to buy. Do not over stock. It is important to consume fresh food, and it is nice to let your neighbours to be able to get what they need too.
3. Balance diet: 40% carbohydrates, 30% protein, 30% healthy fats, with different colours vegetables, fruits, nuts. Avoid high-sugar and high-caffeine drinks.
4. Supplements: Multivitamins (particularly Vitamin D3 and B12), probiotics, super greens, and supplements like turmeric, hemp seed. You can find carbohydrates in fruit, vegetables, grains and potatoes, protein in animal products, legumes, nuts and soy products and healthy fats from nuts, seeds, avocados, etc.
Be aware of mental health
It is a stressful time, but you need to have enough sleep. Your immune system will be weaker if you don’t. Keep thinking ‘My original wedding day is today.’ or ‘I cannot be with my best friend on her birthday.’ would not help. It is ok to miss out, since it is all for the greater good. Imagine after this pandemic, you can enjoy your wedding day freely, gather with your friends and family you love. Hug and kiss them as many times as you want. If there is something came up in your mind made you worried, it is ok, acknowledge your thoughts, intentionally make a choice to linger to the thoughts or let it go. Relax, take a bath or nap. Ask for help if anxiety, stress or depression are affecting your quality of life.
